What to Expect During our AC Tune-Up Service

Our maintenance services keep your AC unit running smoothly and your home at a perfect temperature.
We make sure there are no issues with the AC system.
If we find any, we repair them quickly with a guarantee behind the quality of our work.

Comprehensive Coil Inspection

We eliminate any air debris using a vacuum, allowing us to clean the coils and fins. Our coil cleaning system uses just the right amount of psi so nothing is damaged in the process. After cleaning the coils using special chemicals, we rinse off any remaining residue. In order to prevent mold growth, we use an EPA-registered mold solution. We also clean the pan and drain line before restarting the AC system.

Evaluation of Refrigerant Levels

If your AC system is not cooling properly, the refrigerant may be low. During a tune-up, we check the level to make sure it is where it should be. We also check for any signs of a leak so we can repair it right away. Refrigerant is an environmental hazard, so it is best handled by our specialists.

Test and calibrate electrical components

During a tune-up, we make sure the electrical components are working properly. The capacitors and contractors are inspected and evaluated for wear and tear. If the capacitor is not working, or your AC is not turning on, it could be the result of overheating.

Air Filter Cleaning or Replacing

Although this is something you can do on your own, it is best to have one of our professionals do it for you. We know how to properly clean the filters and keep debris from remaining trapped in your AC system. We can also tell if it is time for your filters to be replaced.

Check fan motor amperage

We check the fan balance and amperage to ensure the process of dissipation is occurring. This releases any warm air out of your home.

Drain Line and Pan Cleaning

Moisture that is collected from your home through the AC unit is collected in an area called the drain pan. This needs to be emptied on a regular basis to prevent clogging. We also check the drain line for any built up debris before it has a chance to become completely blocked.

Maintaining Lubrication on Moving Parts

Wear and tear is normal for an AC unit. We prolong and decrease wear and tear by checking for healthy amounts of lubrication among the moving parts of the AC system. We lubricate any moving parts, which also includes the motors and fans.

How Often Should You Schedule an AC Tune-Up?

If you notice any signs that your AC system is not working like it normally does, it is time for a tune-up. That being said, if you don’t notice anything out of the ordinary, you should still have our experts check your AC system. Unless it is needed beforehand, you should schedule a tune-up at least once a year. We also suggest having one done in the spring so you are prepared for the summer months and don’t come home to a hot house in the middle of summer. If this does happen, call us for the fastest response time.

How Often Do Filters Need to be Cleaned?

This depends on the severity of the weather and how much you are using your AC system. At most, filters should be cleaned every two weeks. If your AC is not working and it has been some time since the filters were checked, this is most likely the issue.

How Often Should AC Unit Coils be Cleaned?

Coils can be inspected as often as every two months. We remove any dust and debris. This is an easy way to keep your AC running at its best.
